Jin Lao Shi majored in painting and moved to Jingdezhen from Harbin to set up a studio with his wife Ah Shu in 2015. He makes the works and she markets and sell them.
Their studio is dedicated to the art of ceramics, and focuses specifically on high-fired and bold and bright colored wares. All of their pieces are wheelthrown and trimmed on the wheel, and fired to 1320degrees.
