Lerae Lim is a Singapore potter and owner of Garden Club Makers, a community pottery studio based in Singapore. She runs classes and works on her own small batch of ceramics.
'As a potter, throwing is my chosen method of making — the process is immensely gratifying, to be able to create vessels with your bare hands and to see clay take shape into something functional from its raw shapeless form. I love the craft itself but more than anything I am motivated and energized when I get to create ceramics that bring joy to people’s living spaces. Day-to-day, a lot of my time is spent thinking and trying out different designs, for both functional and ornamental wares. I also have a keen interest in developing glazes and dedicate significant effort towards researching and experimenting with different recipes.' - Lerae
