precautions
Our wooden tableware is made without chemical finishes.
Please avoid soaking it in water or placing it in the dishwasher.
After washing, dry it immediately with a soft cloth.
caring for your utensils
/ For first-time use, we recommend rinsing your utensils in warm water or a mild saltwater soak (10–15 mins), then drying them thoroughly.
/ Avoid sterilising by pouring boiling water over or leaving pieces to soak as this may cause the natural oils and pigments to leach and shorten the life of your utensils.
/ We suggest apply a light coat of food-safe oil (like olive oil or wood conditioning oil) every few weeks to nourish the wood.
/ Apply with a soft cloth or paper towel, let it sit for 5–10 minutes, then wipe off excess and leave to air dry. Rinse with water before next use.
a little about the materials
metals used: food-grade 304 stainless steel
wood origins: burmese teak, african blackwood, rosewood
characteristics: naturally antibacterial, durable, resistant to mould, warping, and cracking
Each piece is made from solid wood and finished only with food-safe wood wax oil
no synthetic paints or industrial fixatives (except traditional urushi lacquer where stated)
This is tableware meant to be used, loved, and passed down — natural in both form and philosophy.
