Ceramic cat decorative inspired by the Four Heavenly Kings, specifically the 多闻天王 Duōwén Tiānwáng and 增长天王 Zēngzhǎng Tiānwáng.

多闻天王 Duōwén Tiānwáng the chief of the four kings and protector of the north. He is the ruler of rain. His symbolic weapons are the umbrella or pagoda.

增长天王 Zēngzhǎng Tiānwáng the king of the south and one who causes good growth of roots. He is the ruler of the wind. His symbolic weapon is the sword which he carries in his right hand to protect the Dharma and the southern continent.

Designed and made by Yang Jian Wen 杨建文 in Jingdezhen, China.
Originally from Inner Mongolia, he moved to Jingdezhen in 2018 after a career in graphic design that he no longer saw himself in. 

His journey in decorative ceramics started with him handbuilding 神兽 [mythical creatures], then adding his own flair for design to become what his works have evolved into today.
